Exploited Suburban Housewives: Her husband wonders where she is

It’s odd. She’s usually at the house when the kids get home from school, and dinner is always on the table by 6pm when he gets home from work. But this evening she isn’t in the house and there’s no message or anything. Her bag isn’t here and neither is her phone but despite calling her a few times she isn’t picking up. He’s been trying to think if she said she had an appointment and all he can remember is something about catching up with someone from her old job, was it some guy who was passing through town. He wasn’t really listening but it was something like that. He calls one more time and this time she picks up but there’s no one on the other end, just some muffled noises, sound in the background, is that someone laughing, or screaming? Its so unclear, he hears a crack and groan, in the distance he hears a muffled voice, he can’t hear it properly, is it his wife’s voice. He just picks up the odd word… no… please… no… And then the line goes dead
